Gotta get it together? Need a tax organizer to help pull everything together for tax time? Visit our download page for helpful worksheets. You may also want to look at the Investopedia.com article 10 Steps To Tax Preparation Call or email now for your tax appointment. Weekday, evening and weekend appointments are available for your convenience. Haven't received your statements yet? W-2 (wage) statements and 1099 forms (interest, dividends, other income) are required to be mailed by the end of January. If you are missing any of these forms that you are expecting, contact the payer. If you have moved recently, the payer may not have your new address. K-1 schedules (from partnerships, S-corporations, trusts and estates) may arrive later. Issuers have until the due date of the entity's tax return to issue K-1's, so you may not see some K-1's until March or even April. If you receive a corrected W-2 or 1099, check it against the original to see what changed, then destroy the earlier version. It no longer is valid and keeping it will only confuse you later (unless, of course, you want to challenge the correction with the payer).
