MAPA food drive helps needy families

Welcome to the Mexican-American Paratroopers Association. Based in Tucson, Arizona, this nonprofit organization draws together military veterans of Mexican-American heritage who have jumped in campaigns from World War II to Desert Storm. Among the group's functions:
• Preserve the history and honor of Mexican-American troops who have served in the United States Army parachute corps over the years
• Provide color guards for veteran funerals and events
• Promote the honor and recognition of the corps through participation in parades and community events
• Arrange benefits for charity, including MAPA's annual Christmas baskets for the needy
• Hold monthly business meetings and regular social events.
• Provide opportunities for volunteer service
