MAPA makes news!
MAPA food drive helps needy families
Welcome to the Mexican-American Paratroopers Association. Based in Tucson,
Arizona, this nonprofit organization draws together military veterans of
Mexican-American heritage who have jumped in campaigns from World War II to
Desert Storm. Among the group's functions:
- Preserve the history and honor of Mexican-American troops who have
served in the United States Army parachute corps over the years
- Provide color guards for veteran funerals and events
- Promote the honor and recognition of the corps through participation in
parades and community events
- Arrange benefits for charity, including MAPA's annual Christmas baskets
for the needy
- Hold monthly business meetings and regular social events.
- Provide opportunities for volunteer service
