World War II Memorial - Washington D. C.

Being at the World War Memorial in Washington gave us renewed respect for the men and women who served in the war, both here and on foreign soil. The people who we saw there during our visit were very solemn. Most were middle aged to World War II veteran aged and I think felt a deep gratitude that our country finally has a memorial to these gallant men and women who made the world a better place. While we were taking these pictures, my husband who is a veteran of the Pacific Theatre was thanked by several strangers who were there to visit the Memorial . It is fortunate that at least three million of these people are still alive to accept and be recognized for their place in history by this beautiful Memorial. -Joey Curtis
