


	Richard Lopez Richard Lopez went to basic training at Fort Ord, California in 1951, then Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia in 1952. He went from Camp Stoneman, California aboard the USS Brekenridge and arrived in Yokohama, Japan in April, 1952. Richard went from Camp Drake to Pusan, Korea on the USS Meigs. Richard served in Punch Bowl to Heartbreak Ridge in June, 1952. From Pusan, Korea Richard went to Koje-Doisland to guard prisoners, LST to Kumwha, Korea in November 1952. Richard was awarded CIB in August 1952 for combat in the Mungdung Ni-Valley from June to August 1952. Rotated home April 1953, Fort Lewis, Washington June 1953 until June 1954. Richard Lopez - 35th Regt. Heavy Mort. Co., 1952-1953 Lopez taught in the Los Angeles School District for 33 years until his ritirement in 1991.
